Hey everyone. I got accepted to BC early action, and unfortunately I am clueless when it comes to applying for financial aid. Our counseling department isn't much help with that either. So I'm in a bit of a tough situation. I missed one of the major deadlines, and I know that we probably won't get any money through FAFSA. The only way I'll be able to go to BC is if I can find a way to get a TON of outside scholarship money, student loans, or if I do the nrotc program. I'm really curious as to whether or not I'll be able to manage any of the above. I don't want to do the rotc program, and I know that if I take out loans I'll be paying them off for the rest of my life. What I'm wondering is if any of you had any success applying for outside scholarships. Is it worth the time and effort? I've been researching a bit and I realize that it is pretty much like applying to college all over again. It's a big deal. But I could use the money. I've been wanted to go to BC for as long as I can remember, and if I don't find a way to get some help then I don't know how I'm going to convince my parents that it is worth going anymore.  Any advice is very much appreciated!
